Michigan Water Parks to Consider This Summer

Michigan Water Parks you’ll love this summer

With warm weather right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about where to go this summer for a day of fun in the sun. There are tons of Michigan water park options to consider. We’ve done the homework and found some great places you can check out during your next vacation. Here are our top Michigan water park picks:

Jump Island

Jump Island is a great choice for those who want to be active and explore the outdoors, but also want to keep cool in the summer heat. The water park features five inflatable slides and obstacle courses, so you can work up a sweat while having fun with your friends and family.

Jump Island’s slides measure 16 feet tall, making them accessible for all ages. You can climb up the staircases or take an easier path that takes you down the slide itself. Once you get to the bottom, there is plenty of room to bounce around on inflatable trampolines before taking another plunge into the lake!

Soaring Eagle Water Park and Hotel

Soaring Eagle’s top attraction is Makwa’s Mountain—which is not your typical rock wall. It’s an obstacle course that lets you maneuver through a series of ropes, bridges, and zip lines. This makes for a fun way to get exercise while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. You can also take part in their Wednesday night raft races to try something different!

Soaring Eagle Water Park and Hotel has something for everyone, from slides to swimming pools to tubing on the river. Make sure to try the Loon’s Loop – it’s one of the park’s three-story water slides that will have you screaming with excitement all the way down.

Waterford Oaks Water park

Waterford Oaks is a popular destination among Oakland County residents, as well as visitors from other cities and states. The water park has several attractions, including a wave pool and bubbler fountains near the pool’s shore. These features appeal to young children and older riders alike, who can enjoy playing in the water without fear of getting swept away by a strong current or undertow. Waterford Oaks also has a water playground for younger children, plus a heated indoor swimming pool that includes an area for lap swimming.

Michigan’s Adventure

From the moment you arrive at Michigan’s Adventure, it’s clear this park is all about having fun. With seven roller coasters and fifteen different water attractions, there are almost too many things to do in one visit. One thing you will want to make time for is the Half Pint Paradise—a whole section of the park dedicated to helping kids have an incredible time.

Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge is North America’s largest indoor water park and definitely deserves a spot on the list. There are several well-known water attractions—including the River Canyon Run, Alberta Falls, and Totem Falls—and an interactive fort tree house. You can also enjoy the resort’s spa services, dining options, and unique shopping experiences.

The Great Wolf Lodge is in Traverse City—the heart of Michigan’s vacation destinations, with many other attractions nearby. Make sure to check out Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ferry House, and Leelanau Peninsula Wineries & Vineyards if you’re in the area!

We hope this list of Michigan water parks gives you ideas for your next vacation spot. There are plenty of water- and fun-filled options that won’t break the bank.
